The theme, other extensions, hosting and business rules affect a plugin. We agree the supported versions, the data it reads or changes and how its settings are managed.
Test the important journeys.
A shop feature needs checks around the pages and operations it touches. We agree a suitable test environment and use test payment and message paths where relevant. A live charge or customer notification needs separate agreement.
Agree licences and updates.
Catalogue subscriptions and bespoke project code have different arrangements. Your quote identifies what you receive, which existing tools retain their licences and what future compatibility work includes.

Do I get updates for a custom plugin?
The agreement states the supported versions and any update or maintenance period. Continuing compatibility work is not assumed to be unlimited.
